January 16: Old Ideas

+ This wonderfully fantastic, poetic text about inspired by Sailor Moon, by Elaine Castillo. I'm already uncomfortable with my stillness, and sometimes I wonder if re:watching Sailor Moon now (instead of watching sth more "serious") doesn't somehow mean that I'm regressing. Then I read sth like this and I realize: I'm watching it differently. I might not produce insightful texts like Elaine Castillo's but at least I know I'm seeing things I couldn't have seen with the eyes of my nine-year-old self.

+ Reading about Miss Fury, the first superheroine in comics. Now I badly want this book, but I'm afraid it will have to wait - it's so fucking expensive.

+ "Going home" with Leonard Cohen. I cannot wait to listen to his Old Ideas.

+ Tina Fey photobombing Amy Poehler at the Golden Globes.

And here's another Tina Fey photobomb, proving that no matter how many times she repeats it, it's still funny.

+ And speaking of the Golden Globes... #whereisryangosling?
